How it all Started

BackFire Station developed over the course of a few years of exploring ideas of what to do as we begin transitioning into retirement. We love adventure riding and the interesting places and people we've visited around the world on adventure bikes.

So Erin and I sold our home that we thought we'd be retiring in and bought this old Fire Station that was built in 1958 in my hometown of Pendleton Oregon. It was the perfect space for what we had planned.  The goal was to remodel the station and make it a global destination for adventure riders and the wayward traveler!

I grew up here and the scenery, diverse geography, moderate weather and friendly people brought me back.

The space also allowed us to build out a small retail area to showcase the products of our 2 motorcycle parts companies
MOTO STUFF and SRC MOTO. There was also a room for service, repair and installation as well as comfortable lodging for up to 8 guests!
Erin and I have been known to enjoy a great meal or two in our travels, so it didn't take much arm twisting to pursue a fun place for eats and drinks that we call the Infernal Combustion Lounge!
Make BackFire Station your adventure hub of the Pacific Northwest.

Mission Statement

“Backfire Station is about the thrill of adventure, enjoying a life less ordinary and helping others do the same. It's reflected in the bones of this beautiful old building we call home, the classic and vintage bikes on display, the passion we put into the services we offer and the experiences we provide our guests and visitors. Backfire station is meant to be welcoming above all else."
